Wyoming requires employers to allow employees sufficient time off to vote.

All employers in Wyoming must allow employees time off to vote. This summary is restricted to coverage of private employers.

Employers must grant employees one hour of leave to vote, unless employees have three consecutive nonwork hours to vote. Meal times cannot be counted toward voting time leave. Employers can schedule the voting time leave.

Wyoming Compensation

Employees covered by Wyoming's minimum wage law must be paid $5.15 an hour.

All employees are covered except for:

agricultural workers;
domestic service workers in private homes;
persons employed in an executive, administrative, or professional capacity;
outside salespersons compensated by commission; and
drivers of ambulances or other vehicles on call at any time.

Wyoming Payroll

Employers covered by Wyoming's wage payment law must pay wages at least semimonthly. Wages for the first half of a month must be paid on the first day of the following month and wages for the second half must be paid on the 15th day of the following month (or on the preceding workday if a payday falls on a nonworking day).
