Wyoming Compensation

Employees covered by Wyoming's minimum wage law must be paid an hour. Employees covered under the Fair Labor Standards Act must receive the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour.



All employees are covered except for:

  • agricultural workers;
  • domestic service workers in private homes;
  • persons employed in an executive, administrative or professional capacity;
  • outside salespersons compensated by commission; and
  • drivers of ambulances or other vehicles on call at any time.

Wyoming Payroll

Employers covered by Wyoming's wage payment law must pay wages at least semimonthly. Wages for the first half of a month must be paid on the first day of the following month, and wages for the second half must be paid on the 15th day of the following month (or on the preceding workday if a payday falls on a nonworking day).
