Skokie, Ill. (Jan. 10, 2001) -- Web-based payroll company SurePayroll has announced the creation of a private label online payroll application designed for accountants and their clients.

The application, e-Payroll Service, gives accountants the option to offer their clients their own Web-based payroll service branded with their firm's name and identity, the company said. The service includes payroll processing and real-time preview, nationwide tax filing, direct deposit and payroll reports. This service also offers Web-enabled delivery of pay stubs and physical checks.

"This program is a great way for CPAs to do two things: one is that it will add revenue to their firm and it will also expand the firm's Internet presence," said director of marketing and business development Sherrie Jacobs. "This service can offer clients an online payroll service from the firm because it's private label. The CPA name will be on the payroll site and clients can see it. The firms can then choose the price points, creating increased revenue."

According to the company, a customized payroll application will be created for the accountant with the firm's name appearing on every page. The accountant will then have the ability to invoice their clients for the service at a rate negotiated between the accountant and the client. The client's Payroll Administrator simply logs on to a password-protected Web site and updates and approves employee payroll information. SurePayroll calculates, deducts, pays and files all federal, state and local taxes.
