2007 October National Small Business Trends
Small business hiring rose in October.
The SurePayroll Hiring Index ended the month at 10,822, a 35-point increase (0.32%) from September.
Despite all the negative talk you hear about the overall economy, this was our eleventh straight month of increased hiring in the small business economy.
The SurePayroll Pay Index was 1,056 at the end of October, up three points (0.28%) from the end of September.
With this increase, we've extended the streak to an impressive twenty-six straight months of rising salaries.
