Hiring increased in June, marking our seventh straight month of increased hiring in the small business economy.
The national SurePayroll Hiring Index, which measures the number of employees within small businesses, ended June at 10,676, up 42 points from where the index stood at the end of May.
Small business salaries are still on the rise, continuing the trend from last year. Small business paychecks were up in June, marking twenty two straight months of rising salaries. The SurePayroll Pay Index clocked in at 1,048 at the end of June, a 2-point increase from May.
