We are poised for success and are seeking a Channel Marketing Manager who is looking to incorporate his/her experience and education in a fast-paced, dynamic, and fun environment.
Here is what you can expect to do:
- Develop marketing strategies for accountant offerings and increase brand awareness within the accountant community
- Work directly with accountants to understand their needs and objectives while uncovering potential new business opportunities
- Act as the internal "brand champion," working with the Sales, Marketing and Product Development departments to increase sales, generate leads and awareness, and improve product offering to the accountant community.
- Understand accountants' role in the marketplace, assess market trends and develop competitive strategies, keeping campaigns and programs current.
- Understand accountant-recommending behavior and develop ongoing relationships with individual accountants by providing high-value products and services.
- Develop and lead implementation of marketing programs to increase accountant familiarity with services, providing accountants with reasons to partner with company.
- Partner with the marketing team to develop messaging that resonates with accountants and drives accountants to recommend the "right" small business offerings to their clients.
- Support the launch of new and updated offerings that are important to accountants.
- Partner with internal Sales team to help them understand the accounting community, so they can generate leads and sales from this channel.
- Communicate results and "priorities to improve" the offerings to VP of Marketing
Here is what we are looking for in a qualified candidate:
- BA/BS degree
- Min. 3 yrs. experience in marketing or business development, or as an account executive
- Knowledge and understanding of payroll
- Experience working with accountants and/or the accounting community
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results, measure results and learn from them
- Track record of working successfully across organizational boundaries
- Proven ability to get close to customers and drive customer centric marketing effort
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Confidence to present to individuals and groups in person and over the phone
- Outgoing and comfortable developing and maintaining relationships with prospective accountant partners
- Demonstrate rich understanding of customers and marketing competencies, including product positioning based on clear differentiation, and messaging strategy development
- Drive and communicate sound decisions in a timely manner, integrating data and judgment to confidently make clear and effectively supported recommendations
- Self-manage - get things done autonomously, in the most efficient manner
- Understand prospective channel and marketing vehicles, and can make tough tradeoff decisions in order to create and manage to an effective marketing plan
- Willing and able to move between the strategic and the tactical comfortably
