Best Value for Your NFL Fantasy Payroll 2015

Posted On

With the start of the NFL season closing in, fantasy drafts are taking place all over the world. That means it’s time to make our annual fantasy payroll picks – and see if we can do better than last season.

The players you draft will make or break the next few months. With the right team, you have a good chance of taking home the grand prize. With the wrong selections, it won't be long before you realize that the season is lost forever.

It's easy to spend a lot of money in the early rounds of your auction draft. However, the more you spend upfront the less you can spend in the later rounds. And just the same as an NFL general manager, you know that games can be won or lost with the players you pick up in the late rounds.

Below are the players poised to give you good value on your fantasy football payroll in 2015, keeping in mind we know any one of them could be injured by the time you're finished reading:

Ryan Tannehill, Miami Dolphins.

  • Quarterback
  • Auction value: $6

Tannehill is looking to build on a strong 2014 season in which he threw for more than 4,000 yards to go along with 27 touchdowns and only 12 interceptions.

Joseph Randle, Dallas Cowboys.

  • Running back
  • Auction value: $15

With DeMarco Murray gone, Randle is sure to get more carries this season. Can he pick up where Murray left off? This may be a bit of a stretch, but he showed flashes of brilliance in 2014

Tre Mason, St. Louis Rams

  • Running back
  • Auction value: $5

Mason is looking to make a big leap during his second NFL season. If he can build on last season's 765 rushing yards and four touchdowns, it will bode well for the Rams as well as fantasy owners smart enough to pick him up.

Jordan Matthews, Philadelphia Eagles

  • Wide receiver
  • Auction value: $18

Playing for the Eagles, Matthews will be in position to put up big numbers. Last season, he pulled in 67 receptions totaling 872 yards. He also scored eight touchdowns.

Brandon LaFell, New England Patriots

  • Wide receiver
  • Auction value: $8

With 74 receptions, 953 yards, and seven touchdowns in 2014, LeFell turned himself into one of the top pass catchers in the league. He could generate even bigger numbers in 2015.

Coby Fleener, Indianapolis Colts

  • Tight end
  • Auction value: $1

When you play with Andrew Luck you are always in position to do big things. Fleener caught 51 balls for 774 yards and eight touchdowns last season.

As your draft wears on, don't shy away from the seven players above. Landing one or more of these guys could be the difference between winning and losing.
